Make sure you get the pro flow adapter with your k&n. I am running the dynojet jet kit stage 2. I am running 148 150 mains with the lid off.

I ran the 146/148 dj with just a slip on, K&N, and no lid......and it ran strong.....when I added a full system it was WAY lean!
I jetted up to 160/165 about 3 hours ago and it runs MUCH STRONGER.....I think I may gain a little more still by goin up a lil more.........that is just what Curtis sparks recomended.......

BTW.......when I am running WOT and I back off to Idle with the clutch pulled in........it dies ever now and then........what do I need to do?.......does that mean it is runnin rich on my mixture screw??........idle up a little maybe?

Did you change your pilots? If so, I would go back down. What are your screws set at? I think mine are at 3 1/2. It definetly sounds rich, though, because my bike does it after I make a nitrous run because it has all of that extra fuel in there. How are you liking the pipe so far? When you rev it up, do the exhaust pulses shoot straight back or do they hit the ground really hard and stir up dust? my friend has a 400ex w/ a sparks on it and when he rides off the tires make their dust trail and the pipe makes a different one. Looks very cool. Just wonderin, and good luck.

yes I did change the pilots......but can't I just adjust the screws instead of buying more?......

I love this pipe.....it sounds awesome.......gave me tons of power......and like you said, it looks cool blowin the dirt an leaves around on the ground......
I like it alot!
I really like how easy it was to put on.......My friend got an alba......and when we put it on, took both of us over an hour to just install the pipe......because of all of the forcing and adjusting and turning and rotating and all of that SHIZ.......not a very good design......
when I put mine on, I did it by myself and it fit perfect.......I put the head pipes on(didn't tighten them down cause i thought I would need to make adjustments) and the silencer slid right on perfectly.......no bending shaking or forcing..........I was soo happy I almost pissed on myself.....LoL
I think it took a totaly of like 15 mins counting the removal of the old pos stock pipe.......

I was just curious about how it would sound just header......when I rejetted it earlier, I pulled the silencer off and rode it around the block.....LoL......everyone was looking out the window and runnin outside......they didn't know what it was......
suprisingly it really sounded perty good.....Loud as hell though
if you can imagine louder than the sparks with the silencer on.....LoL
overall I have NO complaints about sparks product or service......
they were more than happy to talk to me about jetting and answer all of my dumb questions.....
I am impressed with Sparks.....

Props Curtis, Scott, & Dee(rage performance,Cleveland, TX... Sparks Distributor)

Btw....do I go in or out on the screws to lean it out a lil?
sorry for the Novel.....LoL......I was just overly happy with my experience from them......

Jetting would depend on the mods you do to your air box no matter if it's a slip on or not. I have had real good results with the GYT-R jet kit and would recomend it and that you rejet when you change the pipe.

I had the full yoshi competition before i got my sparks X-6. I tried both dynojet and mikuni. I like the dynojet better all in all. I ran 148/150 mains with 25 pilots with the yoshi and it ran pretty strong. With the sparks im jetted 150/155 DJ with 27.5 pilots and probably running a little lean. If I were you, I would look at the Sparks before going with the yoshi. WHy are you so dead up in getting the yoshi anyways? I run 200 ft drags and theres usually 10 or more raptors there. All of them piped and jetted. Everything from titanium yoshis to big guns to everything. Im the only one with the sparks. My closest competition is the full titanium yoshi and i beat him consistently by 2 quads. Id go Sparks all the way!!!!!!!!!!
