Put the same amount of loot into the shee as you did the Raptor and look out.

Wait until you pipe it and it will really wake up. If you want better low end you have to boost your compression with a Cool head and Boost porting will give you more low end grunt.

I was thinking of milling the head down and recutting the squishband which will only cost me $35 at the local machine shop compared to $250 for a cool head, but I'll wait until it's fully broken in, because like I said it just keeps getting faster and getting more bottom end by the ride and as soon as it levels off I'll be looking for a pipe and how to up the compression with either the cool head or just the head mill work.

For the price milling the head give a nice little boost but the Cool head where you can up the compression ALOT will really give you more power.

Welcome to the dark side. Hiram, that banshee was kicking up some roost when I was behind you, doesn't it feel good. We will leave the four-strokes for the wives.

It sure those feel good whip it around the ditches and turns, but I have a feeling I will be going through tires like water with all this roosting potential and I can't wait to try and light them up on the street. I already asked the wife to take a spin around but is scared of the unexpected powerband kick and said to leave her on her fourstroke 250 quadrunner, so four strokes for the wives it is.

Excellent move....I need too make the same move myself. Keep in mind what type of fuel you wanna run when shaving the head...usually .030 is safe for pump gas. The head mod and a timing key is a must for a little more torque and wider powerband. I have ran the more advanced "drag" keys before in Banshee's and the gain is about the same as pipes give you (it seems anyway). The Banshee will never have the grunt of the Raptor....but you will get used too the engine. The Banshee is no wheelie machine either. I recommend widening the front up and getting better shocks for much better handling. After your thumb gets used too the slightly stiff thumb throttle, it will not bother you. Never leave the Banshee idling for very long....it will overheat.....and make sure the rear brake lever is not rubbing the side case (no fluid is not good for the bottom end). If you need too go into the bottom end for some reason, the case splits horizontally...no need too remove the cylinders....just roll the top end and crank off the bottom end. Rebuilding is a piece of cake for a two stroke...you should not have too worry about that for a long time if you run good 2 stroke oil. Later.

I never said anything about price...but the facts are facts. Banshee's will be rebuilt 10 times before a good 4 stroke needs rebuilt. Just the facts. Banshee's are very high maintenece.
