yamaha660r if you really believe that then you are not very smart. Why can a 420 banshee smoke a 660 raptor? you should of been there. There were some non believers at the cinders too. Now they believe a 400ex can really smoke a raptor if set up properly.

VERY, VERY TRUE...i was outran by a Sparks EX at sand mountain, and my 720 isnt that slow, even though my ds was running weak,he still pulled me at the top of the hill by 2-3 bike lengths, and he was running alky...
When you see some of these sparks bikes run it is amazing..but when i called Jeffinrivercity over [ds830] on nos he beat there fastest raptor by 20 bike lengths..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] no joke
I will be hunting for sparks in 3 weeks when new DS is finished, and i do know what i will be up against...you can never underestimate any quad though...

My friend Tony was with Jeff that day at Pismo and they were more like neck to neck from what i heard...Jeff said to have probs with nos bottle heater..
BUT that CRF450 is one of the fastest 4 strokes i have seen, i heard it was running a heavy nitro blend, and this just goes to show that i guess displacement did not come into the equasion...i also saw the vids of that CRF beating alky drag banshees easily[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] i heard there is a few rappys that are faster than the CRF...i guess its all about the $$$$

Well, im sure, if you know Jeff, i think he was being a bit modest, Tony and him were arguing about who won with that CRF and Jeffs bike just last weekend....i do believe he barely got pulled on a few times by 450, but not by much... this info came from Jeff and Punisher[Tony]. I still think if Jeffs bike was dialed properly in he could have had better results ..jeff said to have problems with front end comming up out of the hole, and over paddled for wet sand...i did see Jeff beat a 900cc street bike motor in banshee frame at DS DAYS...but thats in Jeffs home court [Sand M.T NV] and that banshee with 900cc motor was putting out some ponys...I guess we will just have to witness it for ourselves...

i just know what i read. i was there, but didnt see the race personally. The 450 was running nitro, but jeff was also running nitrous. I dont feel either of them had an advantage there. Only advantage is jeffs 380cc's.
