Hey guys. I'm a Polaris owner, but I want to get a Yamaha sport quad soon. I found one in the paper for $3500 for a 98'. The guy said he might go lower, but I have to go see it first. Is this a good price? any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

Hey,
That doesnt seem too bad, especially if he goes lower. I got a '96 for $2,500!! Great deal, nothins wrong with it, barely even ridden! If you can get him to $3,300, go for it

To get a ballpark price on a used quad, check out Kelley Blue Book at kbb.com. Look under "motorcycles". They will give you either trade-in value or retial value. I paid $2950 for mine when it was three years old, with a dead battery and aftermarket rims. Figure that $3000-3500 would be a good price, since I had a new 2000 Warrior offered to me last month (blue/white) for $5000.00 out the door. I'm holding out to see the new sport quad though.
