03 raptor turning over, won't start??????

It sounds like a peice of trash is stuck in the needle and seat valve (IMO). You said the petcock flows good but not gas to the carbs. So its either that or what RaptorJay is talking about. If you float level looks good try using compressed air to blow the seats out, you might even want to take them out and blow through the carbs themselves. The float level normally doesn't just go bad (not that bad anyway).

it sounds like you got mud in your starter. No chance in saving it, your gonna have to get a new starter. If your gonna be mud riding, then you should probably invest in an aftermarket starter with better bearing protecting against these sort of leaks.

He says he has no gas in the left bowl and very little in the right bowl. He says it turns over but does not start. There is nothing wrong with the starter. He says he sprays carb cleaner in through the air box and gets a fire. He is not getting gas into the carbs and into the cylinder. You say your petcock flows gas. The problem then lyes in the gas line and to the needle valve and seat or floats themsleves. Also check the vent hose on the gas cap. Plugged vent line. You could take the gas cap off and try and start it or remove the vent line and blow through it.

Im with taftraptor, I have had my stator go out twice. It did exactly what you described. Have someone pull start you, ride like normal for a while so it gets warm, then shut it off and see if it will start. If it starts when its warm but not when its cold, its the stator. If its backfiring when you crank it you could have blown off the carb boots, but thats pretty unlikely. If not the stator, most likely what everyone else is saying.

I believe its your float valve. Take your bowls off then take the screw out that holds the floats. The little valve under there can get stuck in there and not let gas get through. Happened to my friends Raptor. Those valves should come right out if the floats are unscrewed. I would damn near put money on it that, that is your problem. another thing to do is to squirt some gas into the carbs just to make sure that it is capable of starting. Check those float valves and you should be fine.
