Default Banshee shock on a Tri-Z?

Does anyone know if a Banshee or Warrior shock will work on a Tri-Z? Functional Tri-Z shocks are pretty hard to come by these days, and I was hoping that a Banshee shock would work. They're pretty easy to find on Ebay. I have two blown out Tri-Z shocks and don't want to buy another one from Ebay. Not sure of the Tri-Z shock is rebuildable. Thanks in advance for your help.

I think that it will work but you might have to do some grinding.

i think the warrior shock will, but like roost thrower said you will have to grind some off of each side.

Default Banshee shock on a Tri-Z?

I don't ride on pavement so I can't really tell you about the handling on asphault. I have had that inside tire lift up on me a bunch of times on grass and dirt, but it has never dumped over on me. I would like to wear out the 22" balloon type tires I have on there and replace them with a set of 20" holeshots or something like that. Those balloons tend to roll the sidewall over a bit.

Thanks for your advice on the shock. I ended up getting the Tri-Z shock rebuilt. I think it is a better shock overall than the Warrior.

It turns out that the shaft on my shock is too pitted to be rebuilt. So I am back to square one. Does anybody know what shock will fit on the Tri-Z that will perform with the suspension geometry. I don't care if it is a Yamaha, Honda, Harley-Davidson, or Polaris snowmobile shock, as long asit will work. Is it as simple as taking measurements of the length of the shock and just matching it up with another shock?

It should be as simple as taking your Measuring tape out on finding out. The tri-z and Banshee swing-arms look to close to one another for it NOT to work.

I don't know much about the Banshee. Doesn't it have a piggyback reservoir? If it does, I don't think it will fit into the amount of space there is in the Tri-Z. A Warrior shock may be a better fit.

Im going to find out this Saturday. I need to know to and cant seem to find any answeres. so the shock is coming off the shee. But you may still have some problems, because it is a piggy back rezzy. I wont as I have taken the stock tank off and relocated a smaller tank where the air cleaner used to be housed.
