Default 450 comparable to raptor???

Will everyone who owns these two bikes please give me the honest facts.

If both machines have only full system pipes, air box mods, jetting and K-N filter...... which one produces the best power?

I have a raptor with the above mods and want to know if the 450 would have more all around power.... I know it will handle better, but I am a big guy and dont want to step down in power.

Please, all owners of these bikes pipe in.

thank you.

Just do a search bro. Theres got to be about 50 posts on here comparing the raptor to the yfz. In my opinion there is no comparison. That 450 is a BAAAD machine. I just can't afford one.

the YFZ is more all out performance in my opinion and i own one and my best friend has a raptor. my yfz wins in a drag race up to top speed. it has alot more top end horsepower. but the raptor has a little more torque. the yfz revs out better meaning you can carry it to higher rpms and hold out longer before you shift. im gonna agree with Flynbryan and say it is one bad mother. its kinda hard to keep the fronts on the ground. great fun either way im not saying raptors aint great

Agreed. Both are fun quads, no doubt. Just if I had the cash, I'd get a Yfz without a second thought.

If the yfz is stock and the raptor has the mods you mentioned, the yfz will still win. I have seen slightly modded banshees getting beaten by stock yfz's.

I just got my YFZ yesterday and I don't think you would be dissapointed. I've ridden raptors and they are definitely fast but it's just not the same as the Y. The YFZ will rev up so quickly it can be a little scary. If you're not used to a fast quad even first gear can be terrifying. The suspension is amazing also. That should make the obvious difference, with a raptor the center of gravity is really high which leads to that tippy feeling.

Default 450 comparable to raptor???

I recently Just bought the YFZ450 and I own a 2001 Raptor,with Full Pipe,Jetted,ProDesign K&N Kit.

The YFZ450 is going to whip on the Raptor (I cant say I raced against My Raptor since it is in shop)

But I Raced a Bunch of Raptors,Banshees at Pismo

Me No Paddles (Baffle Removed, Removed Air Box LId)

Them minimum Piped,Jetted,Paddles (some more work than others)

All of them got me off the Line but i caught or passed most of them (This bike is Very impressive)
