Can someone please explain airbox mods?
That pic was taken at Little Sahara State Park in Waynoka, Oklahoma. We usually make about eight trips a year up there. I will get some of our better pics posted in a day or two. Watch my name for a camera soon!
Be sure and let me know if you decide to try little sahara. We don't have the tallest dunes in the world, but we are famous for the steepness the sand here builds to. We will be making our next trip the weekend of Oct 17.

Thanks a lot again guys. I do understand that more air is more power and that is the reason for removing the lid. What I meant was, I saw some people just modify their airboxes and lids by drilling holes in them, but others just remove the whole lid. I was wondering if its better to drill the airbox and leave the lid on, or just take it off.
So outerwear is like a filter skin right? I think I'm going to get one of those ehs racing kits. It looks pretty cool.

Alot of people drill the holes in their air box lids because some quads have to have the lid on to hold the air filter in place. Thats why Pro-design makes those kits to mount K&N's in the box without the need of the lid to hold the filter in place.
