how much hp do the 125cc dirtbikes put out?
I have to put my two cents in. I have seen a KX80 or 85 that was outrunning piped 400ex's by about 5 bike lengths. It was the fastest 80cc dirt bike I have ever seen. I did beat him by about 2 bike lengths 4 straight times, though.

either the ex rider sucked, the kx rider was awesome and light as a feather, or it was heavily modded..
I don't see how a kx 85 would beat an ex........?
I have ridden one, and with my big azz on it, it was SLOW!!!!

TextWrong. I had a Rick Petersons Motorsports 285cc kit for my 1999 YZ250. Ported, polished, carb bored, FMF pipe w/ Shorty silencer, etc. That thing was cranking out approx 53-54 hp on 110 octane leaded fuel. It was a monster. The RPM YZ 300 stroker kit puts out about 6 more hp then the 285 kit last I checked. Its easy to get over 55 hp with a 2 stroke mx bike. The 285 kit only cost me about $700. Thats with everything...bored cylinder, all cylinder and head mods, powervalve mods, new wiseco 285 top end kit, gaskets. etc
