craycraft monster 730R. $2700 in parts, including custom piston, sleeve, carillo rod, cam, valve springs, larger valves, 39mm FCR carbs, intake, etc

Approx. $1200 in labor for re-sleeving, crank work, splitting cases, etc. I know the yamaha dealer charges $750 for dissasembly of engine. those are GOOD prices

The Trinity 727 is $1900 without the Trinity Pipe.

I figured the 730 would be around $2200 or $2500 at the most.

Then add the labor for a bore job, labor for valve job, labor for, ect....it adds up fast. By then your are right with a CR 686 with alot less motor and no customer service.

AND the trinity is for the basic parts only. No oversized valves, no FCR carbs, and no carillo rod. that price is for the re-sleeve, piston, port job, and a cam with valve springs. All the craycraft stuff is coated with special heat stuff, and they do all the GOOD work. Don't compare a trinity to a craycraft. It's not even in the same league. no comparison there. It's like comparing a 250ex to a 250R

I would have to get a valve job. Me and my mechanic could install the piston and cam. I never thought of the valve job. Hmm....maybe a 730R is the way to go. Or possibly the 686 or the Sparks 690. So many options....lol. I'm getting lost in the wonderful idea's and possibilities of the Raptor....and people are actually talking about the YFZ with so many differnt ways to go with a Raptor. HA!

Whoa, that's a healthy chunk of change! What kind of realistic horsepower numbers could we expect for that money?

I would go with Craycraft 686 rather than the Sparks 690. Yes we finally have confirmation that the engines were SHIPPED TODAY and will be here Wednesday. Thank the Lord. We will slap the engines together, get them broken in and tell everyone what the outcome is.

We wanted to get our motors at the same time and break them in together. Sparks said 2 months and Craycraft said 1 month. My dad sent his, I waited a month and sent mine and got it 2.5 weeks later. My fathers has yet to show, but yes there is finally confirmation!!!!!

Therefore I go with Craycraft, even if they do beat me I would still go with Craycraft.
