Default Banshee Modding. Need advice.

I suggest you go w/ the 15t sprocket, my low-end practically stayed the same b/c I didn't spin through 4th gear anymore. I would start w/ 310 mains/30 pilots and go from there, w/ the 30 pilots you should be cherry but you might have to go up on the mains. Depening on your elevation you can run 93 octane w/ those 20cc domes, if your at least 750ft sea level you'll be cherry w/ the 20's. Your shee is gonna rip after you get it dialed in!!!!

Thanks for your help guys.

One question I have is about the 20cc domes. I was told by a guy at alba that I could run with 91 pump gas even though i could easly get 93. But im not at 750ft sea level. More like 350-400ft. Do you guys think it will work or should i have gone with the 21cc.

Also The exhaust port looked really rough on the cylinders. I was thinking of polishing them before putting everything back together. Do you think this is a good idea?

Ernie- Thanks for your help. How do you think my setup will act with your 14/41 gearing (Top speed, low end power.) Also since im already running at the limits of 91 octane maybe it would be better to leave the timing alone? What do you think?

Thanks guys.

You WILL detonate (blow up) w/ the 20cc domes at your elevation, even on 93 octane. www.thebansheezone.com and pro-design both have elevationtodome charts on there sites.

Ok. I checked out the chart and then ordered 21cc domes which should put compression at around 150psi which is what I run in my snowmobiles which are good at 91 octane.

I also ordered a billet water pump blade to replace the plastic one in the banshee. Ill keep the 20cc domes and get some race fuel just incase I ever need them. HEHEHE.

Well I brought the cylinders in for machining today. Should be done by thursday. And the domes are in the mail, I hope it all arives by friday so I can put it together this weekend.

I got a question about the water pump blade. When I change it is there any gaskets that I will need to replace or should i just use silicon, or are they reusable o rings. I really need to get a manual for this bike. Is there anyplace I can see a manual on the internet?

Thanks..

www.rockymountainatv.com www.parkeryamaha.com www.moto-man.com I know on the side covers there is one long gasket that is reusable but I havn't change my water pump so I can't help you there. Just be sure you break her in good, I left my front plastic off and propped a fan on the grill for extra cooling.

Do 15min rides and 30min cooling period like so:

15% then cool for 30mins.
30% then cool for 30mins.
45%......
60%.....
75%.....
90%.....
100%.... and your done

I got that right off of duncan racings website

Hey Mar send the alba domes and coolhead back. Don't waste your money just have your head milled and don't use that billet water pump impeller either it will wear on the shaft and wear out. Your better off leaving that stock. The boost bottle is just hype it doesn't do anything either. I'm not trying to burst your bubble just save you some money so you can put it somewhere you'll get some power out of. If you want more info ask away I work on these every day.

My guess for jetting would be #35 pilots and 310 mains on the stock carbs.
