I'll be putting my Honda 400EX dual exhaust by LTE on in about a month along with the 440 rebuild. I'll post my results as well.

The new law requires bikes and quads built before 1998 to have a DB reading of 98 max. Bikes and quads built after 1998 have a maximum Db reading of 96. This applies to ALL riding areas and ALL bikes and quads. It even includes competition bikes and quads on closed course tracks. i dont think they will be able to enforce it. nobody will pass, not even a stock quad. i know the sandrails with the straight stinger out the back wont pass! maybe this is the way they are trying to get all the public lands closed, the environmental BS didnt work so they will try this. i'm really not worried about being ticketed, most of the rangers hang out at the drags and comp, i try not to spend too much time there, out in the dunes is were the fun is and you never see rangers deep in the dunes.

I'll guaran-freakin-tee that my stock 03 Blaze exhaust won't pass for 96db .... hell it came with the FMF Ti4! Any guesses on db for that? I'll have to look it up... hopefully they don't pass that wonderful crap anywhere I ride!

I hate it too, but until somebody gets the names of these USDA people and find a way to get them removed, dual-muffler design exhaust pipes will be the only way to have performance and sound reductions in the near term.

Well couldn't find any info at FMF's website about db's ... but from what I found from a test of the FMF Ti4 slip-on using a Yamaha 450 MX bike was that it put out about 103-104dbs ... kinda scary from the "stock" system eh?

OK guys and gals....save this on your "favorites" for future reference. Most quads and bikes are listed here with stock and aftermarket Db levels....
