It don't hurt to be optimistic...

Well isn't it something that they are obligated to honor?? Are they giving excuses as to why they won't cover it under warranty?? I fortunatly have never had to take a quad in for warranty but I have with my truck, and it's always no questions asked.

I've found broken Yamaha parts to be excellent projectiles...when you reach a point of frustration like that again simply reach down on the counter grab a handfull of parts and start firing them across the room in all sorts of directions...send the service manager diving for the ground...have the techs pissing themselves wishing they had gone to heating and ac school
Sorry for your troubles man...
Sandneck...Yamaha warranties are best suited for cleaning your wheels after a muddy day

Lector.....did you see the punk kid in the back of the shop that had the "I hate my life look"? He is the one that worked on your bike....not the service manager you spoke with. I say get a manual and do the work yourself.....good luck and keep us posted on the BIG YZF.

I've got the manual, tools and I'm not afeard of getting dirty. I can get any other specialty tools needed. What do you think. Hell yes, I'm nervous.

Hey Selector, If you had to do it all over again would you have still bought the yfz? After reading everyones comments I'm starting to second guess my decision. I had no idea Yamaha was that bad as far as the customer is concerned. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.

If I'd a known I was gonna shoot hills like I do, I'd probably have got a used shee and gone all out. One like the fella from AZ that just had his jacked would have worked fine. No, I don't have it.
I'm not done w/ the factory yet. It will probably yield the same result, but I are ain't tried.
