i think the engine was flooded, now it is running ine, but there is this rattling sound coming from the top end , what would cause that and should i be worried about it, its been making that rattling sound for a while i never paid any attention to it

Sometimes when a 2 stoke starts revving or when it has a hard time coming back down to idle, it can mean you have an air leak.
Rattle sounds from the motor are not good. Could be piston slap.
Unfortunatly 2 strokes can run untill they destroy themselves.
A friend of mine had a "Zilla", it ran untill the crank bearings finally fell apart and the ***** from the bearings got sucked up through the transfer ports and did a number on the piston and cylinder.

my blaster used to do the same but it was the throttle slide or cable sticking be carfull if u dont have ne kill switches trees and fences come up quick when shes stuck wide open i know from experience. that noise in the top end is prolly the engine telling you it needs some attention u might wanna check it out before it destroys itself mines apart now from prolly the same noise but i waited till she dident run ne more.

Same thing happened to my friends blaster, he tugged on the throttle cable trying to get it out of a tight trail and pulled on it and sent it all to wack so it tightened up till it reved sooooo high and wouoldnt shut off, so i gave it some slack or adjusted it till the idle went down, this is at the thumb throttle.
