What I dont get is that they enforce the law for off road vehicles such as bikes and quads right.... Well He!! I have friends that own Harleys that are twice as loud as my Raptor going down community streets and Hi-Ways...... What about that crap????? Duh, we are off road, no one is going to complain about that **** that I know of. Is it the animals they are trying to protect AGAIN??? or is it the Sierra Club in Disguise........

I got stopped two weeks ago @ Ocotillio Wells climbing the hills on Devil's Ridge. I got a Cobra exhaust and luckily the ranger didn't have her sound/decibel meter to check me cause she was sure I was above the limit of 96dB. I got a 1985 350X so I have a ceiling of 101dB. Even with that extra amount, I'm sure I exceed that easily. It seems they are getting the message out early in the season. Thinking about joining an Off-Road or ATV organization to throw some support for the people who are trying to stop these ridiculous laws. I can understand the noise requirement around residential areas but out in the middle of nowhere like the desert, is it's just other Off-Roaders who like to hear their engines barking. Spark Arrestors SUCK!!!!!!

I had my Z w/CT pipe tested at silver lake sand dunes. At about 1/8 throttle it read 93db.

I dont know about Glamis but Pismo Beach Rangers just told me if its obnoxiously loud and are getting complaints then they will test your bike and ticket you, other than that they said you were good to go.

Its so damn stupid...like you said, I could easily understand if we were riding anywhere near a residential area, but when we're way the hell out in the middle of nowhere who the hell cares how loud your bike is???!!!

The squirrells and the deer! LOL We all got to get it together and lobby for change otherwise the greenies will always win. Luckily here in the good ol south the greenies have left atv's alone for the most part.
