WOW! That front diff is really on borrowed time now. Hope you don't take it wheel'in much.
The frount diff has held up great and I see no problems with it in the near future...

Its a combo of things. First of all 35's would rub on a 4in lift and even on a 6in lift. On my buddy's 1/2 ton chevy with a 4in lift 33's still rub. on your toy your probley running a 8in wheel and on this big boy were running a 16x10in rim and it looks just right not to big not to small. On my 98 I will be running 33's with a 6in lift because they will never rub and for 98 body style they are perfect fit.

I'm not hating. Everybody has their own likes and dislikes. Since I work at a GMC dealer, I was just stating fact. The GM IFS, especially the new bodystyle, doesn't like big tires. We get them in all the time with front end problems.

P.S. I also have a 12 second all motor(FORD powered of course) car. But it's also got the bottle for those quick stints into the 11's. It (my 65 Mustang coupe) also cruises the freeway at 75 MPH, with the A/C rolling, and get's 20+ MPG.

The front diff is fine for all intensive purposes. GM just didn't design it to be used with tires that are twice as heavy and wide as the stocker's. Most of the truck's we see come in have worn out, or broken, ball joints and steering components. Usually idler arms and tie rod ends. In fact, most of my GM coworker's have gotten rid of there newer 4X's and went with pre-1992 GM's, with a solid front diff, because they got tired of replacing front end components on a regular basis.
