Default Trailtech light install

Im ready to install my bar mounted trailtechs, but Ive got a question for you guys. What wire did you tap into? and where at? I want to use the stockers for low beam, and the trailtechs and stockers for high beam. Thanks!

Turn on your high beams then use a test light to see whitch wire is hot. I'm sorry I don't remember witch wire it is, but Ihad trail tech lights on my raptor and they didn't last 15 min. at LA DUNES. The bulbs just fell apart although it is pretty rough riden there.

Its a green/black wire at the light switch. What I want to know is. is it ok to run both + wires from the same spot? I dont want to cause a fire or anything. Would it be safer to run two wires, one from each light, and hook them up to the trailtechs?

follow the wires to where they come to a connection point..then push the wire you need backing it out of the connection .then you can solder the trailtech wires to the hi beam wire directly then you can connect the connector back together for all the other wires.

Mine fell apart too. Trail Tech says it's the vibration associated with having an aftermarket pipe. They are working on anti-vibe mounts.

Just got done installing the lights. I dedided to cut the yellow wire (high beam)from the headlight connector and use that as my power source. Im really impressed with how much light these little suckers put out. They get hot pretty quick but they sure light up the night. I dont do any jumping/MX or any thing that might cause them to fall apart like they have and some of you guys. I mostly drag race and putt around the dunes so Im happy. Good thing I got them too, because with the drop kit your lights aim down like 5 feet from the quad.

They have a new wiring harness that uses two set screws, when you push the bulb prongs into the ceramic housing the set screws are tightened from the top and cinch down on the prongs in the housing. But the bulb still falls apart or comes out of the holes, maybe spread hi temp silicone around the bulb and housing to keep them together? I just don't think these lights were meant to be ridden hard, vibration, whoops and high HP motors are just tearing them up. I love mine, just wish they would hold up better.
