raptor question

Default raptor question

i have jetted it 146 148 with not airbox lid with a K&N and it runs i think pretty good but before i think it was easyer to pull wheelies in thrid gear now it seems harder whats up?

i think it would be the 14/40 gearing you have one of my friends has the Yoshimura pipe jets and K&N filter with no lid and he has 14/42 sproket and when im on his it pulls up with ease so i dunno i hoped this helped

The change to the 14t front sprocket will take away from the snap you had, also if you got an aftermarket pipe, and only adjusted the main jets that may not be enough. You may be running lean on your needles as well, and that would DEFINATELY take away from the "snap" you used to have.

keep the jetting but put the needle on the third clip and fuel mix screws at 2 3/4 and a tad more on the left one, and you did all that it's the 14/40 gearing that you have ,go to a 12 tooth and you will be able to wheelie in any gear,,,

I run a 686 and can barely have enuff juice to pull 2nd gear starts in the sand with 14/40 gearing so i no you gearing is too hi for a basicly stock bike..
