Default side effects of stiffing the preload on my rear shock

would me quad wheely more or less? would it be harder to slide or easier? would my rear tires hook up better? would it effect handleing any? should I do it if I'm going to a track next weekend? thanx

im definately not a suspension guru, but i can tell u when i tightened up all my stock suspension there was much less body roll and powersliding was much less scary. I love a stiff ride either way. Go for it!

I am not a guru either but this is what I do. The preload is more or less just for ride height the compression and rebound control how the bike reacts to jumping and bumps etc. I prefer a little stiffer ride it although it is horrible at slower speeds. If you like jumping and woops then I would say set both at about mid point and then try it see how it feels then adjust accordingly. If it bottoms out stiffen the compression and if it seems to pogo you might want to try more on the rebound. But, ultimately it is going to be rider preference. I hope this helps a little.
