Over filling your oil tank can mess up base gasket? What are the signs of a blown one?

Come out to glamis where you will park your 686 to watch some of the loudest and fastest 2 strokes you ever seen at banshee hill,bring your earplugs its unbelivable to see them hang on for dear life on a rocket,..

I thought my bike was fast till i showed up there,there are just so many fast bikes ity's not even funny..

Drag Banshee at Sand Lake saturday

Signs of a blown base gasket, how about all the oil oozing from it..... Also lost a seal near the sprocket, I dont think it's the seal behind it but one of the sensors near it. I've got all the gaskets and seals including the countershaft to replace it from my local dealer, I think it's $18 total. I have a solid copper head gasket I'm gonna install and see how that works.
