Default flipping wheels on warrior

is it worth flipping them or will it just be more prone to bending the axle

I'd say unless you're really heavy or doing wicked high jumps, the axel should be fine. Certainly it will be more prone to bending, but how much really?

I've heard this topic discussed a number of times .. how much width do you actually gain from flipping the rims? I'm going riding this weekend and I might do that to try it out. Have to reverse them again at the end of the weeken though . .. quad would be too wide to fit in my shed then .. i've only got about 1" clearance on each side now .. i flipped the front wheels on my wolvy and it widend it by about 8 to 10 inches in all.
(4 to 5 on each side)
it is a little harder to turn but its worth it for the wider ride.
i can turn 3 times as fast now and its not as tipsy.

Flipping your rims shouldnt cause a problem, most aftermarket rims are offset that way now anyway

Just consider that by fliping the rims, you are exposing things that were once protected by them, like brakes and such.Chances are that if you hit a good sized rock,a wheel will be cheaper to replace than a hub or caliper.

That's a very good point for the front end .. rear end won't be a problem I think, since the hubs are recessed into the rim anyway .. even if it is less .. come to think of it, the front end will be recessed past the rim as well .. I'll have a look this weekend when I do it and let'chall know ..

I just did it on my Warrior on the back. You can't do it on the front because the valve stems will hit the brake rotors and such. It makes a big difference, even by looking at it from the back. I don't think it will widen it over 7 inches, but I'm pretty sure you get a good 1.5in. extra on each side. It does make it a little harder to steer, but in sweepers and on-power turns its great.

On the front your valve stem might rub so make sure that you check that before going riding. The rear you should be all set.
