Default After market steering stems for YFZ?

Has anyone changed out their steering stem on their YFZ? I'm going to have to replace mine and am having trouble finding a good after market replacement. Looking to possibly get an extended stem 1 or 2 inches... also does anyone have an opinion on Chromolly vs stainless steel for weight and strength comparisons?

Default After market steering stems for YFZ?

I know I read in a dirt wheels account of Kory Ellis' first race with the YFZ that he had LoneStar change a bunch of things for him before he raced it... including a +2 steering stem... they don't show one for the YFZ on their site but I'm thinking about calling them and asking them about it. The only other brands Ive really checked into are Laeger and Roll Design... Laeger's stem is chromolly with the same type anti-vibration system as Lonestar but they don't list the YFZ on their site either... Roll Design doesn't list the YFZ and they offer only stainless steel (which to me sounds worse than chromolly but I don't know for sure) stems. Any other brands people know of that I should check into?

Go up to the vendors forums and ask TBR Products, they can make one in about any reasonable lenth you want. They are very strong and can usually get it done very quick. Their # is 619-258-0834.

I checked out that ebay auction you mentioned... its interesting, in the description he describes it as a YFZ BAN450 stem.... I know that the banshee is also a YFZ (350 though) so it makes me wonder if its really for a banshee and he is trying to trick people into buying it for their 450. I think I'll have to send him an email and see.
