how fast does your quad go?

My 04' DS Baja X with STOCK engine, exhaust, and jetting with a 17 tooth front sprocket, K&N and heavy clutch springs does 81.9mph verified by Gps and Stalker radar. It also does 5.96 secs @ 52.34 mph in a 300ft grass drag and was launched very softly to avoid wheelying at the start. If your stock engined blasters and warriors and 90+mph generally stock Raptors can REALLY beat this top end speed I will buy your quad for twice its value. Otherwise tell the truth because you are making yourself look really ignorant of what it takes to hit those speeds. You also can't just say "I geared it to go that fast." beacause the engine has to make enough torque to overcome the weight, wind resistance and rolling friction. And NO stock bored Blaster or warrior will make that power. A big bored version of either wouldn't even make that power. As for the mid 90 mph Raptor, give everyone a break! You aren't hitting even 90mph without a big bore kit and othe extensive work. Some of these people are real jokes!

68mph on my warrior .. 109.9km/h according to my trailtech.
I don't doubt that someone could get 75 or even 80mph out of a stock internals warrior or blaster providing you have enough straight away and the correct gearing. I'd say on pavement, if I had about 2km or so to travel I could probably break the 70mph mark with my stock gearing .. but in no way can I hang with a rappy or bansh .. just don't have the power. By the time I'm up to that kind of top speed they're looooonnnnng gone!! Warrior is fast, just not all that quick .. But I'll never know now what my true top will ever be cuz I'm gearing down to a 12T front before this weekend .. got my sprocket last night and I'm rearing to get it installed
I might even order a 14T, after I install the 12 .. if it's not too much trouble for me installing it. Then I'll see .. heheh I'd say with a 14/40 the ol' Warrior would strip out that 196mph rappy NOT.. DAYUM dude, that's one FAST rappy!!! LOL, great sense of humour there

Stock internals will NEVER pull the torque to overcome the wind resistance alone let alone rolling friction and weight. I can gear my X to go as fast as I theoretically can. But the motor will make only enough power to make so many rpm's in top gear. Liken it to a 10 speed bike. Go to the highest gear possible and put a little kid on it. This little kid will only be able to peddle so fast because of his strength and size. Now put a full grown adult man on the same bike and have him go as fast as he can. I guarantee that the man will go a lot faster give his strength (torque) and length of his legs (horsepower). See what I'm getting at? Both rode the same bike in the same gear which is theoreticall geared for a certain terminal speed but the little kid wasn't strong enough to peddle as fast as the grown man with enough downforce on the peddles either. The Blaster is the little kid.

Umm ... the length of his legs has little to do with horsepower. Remember that horsepower is only a derivation of torque. You can't even truly measure HP, it is only a mathematical number we derive to make ourselves feel good
Your point is taken though. With a 3 tooth rear sprocket I won't go much faster than with a 30 tooth one. The bike can only pull it's weight so much no matter what the gearing.
Oh, and my Wolverine does about ... 63MPH...
The Blaze ... haven't ridden it yet but I've heard (so don't flame me) #'s in the low to mid 70's stock.

For what it's worth I have a TrailTech on my 03' stock Warrior. I calibrated it but figure it could still be + or - a couple mph. Anyway, best I've hit on a straight desert trail was 57.3 mph. Of course I weigh in at over 200 lbs so I'm sure that's a factor.
Just got a new 04' Raptor. Haven't installed a gauge yet but it's significatly faster than the stock Warrior I can assure you.

All these bikes in the 90+ MPH range.........................man my Raptor with all the work I did never got past 86 man I must have been doing something wrong compared to you guys unless your using the same speedometers that most of the people that say they are doing 100+MPH in my local spots and I raced and beat them, now my Banshee is faster than my Raptor was but maybe by 1-2 MPH only, Iam seeing some crazy #'s here.

A bonafide dragstrip will not lie. They calculate speed by figuring how fast you make it from one beam to another beam 60ft down track. Banshee went 88mph at 1000ft with 16 tooth front sprocket
