This has got to be the worst question (HP).

I would expect a mild 686 to have between 45 and 65 HP but, not depending on the quad, depending on the dyno! Yes, different dyno's read different HP. I have a dyno up this way that will probably show 3-5 HP adder for the pipe (38-40 HP) and the mild 686 at about 45 to 50 HP. Take the same bike to Trinity or some other builder that makes their money off HP and you will see the 65 HP number. Same motor different results from different dyno but, no more real power.

The best answer is. . . more than a piped an jetted Raptor and not as much as a stage 2 cam or a 727 Raptor.

Useless info, but here is how some people fool a dyno. Just increase the tyre pressure on the rear wheels. The dyno shows more than with a lower pressure (STD settings) tyre. Then another thing. There is a massive HP difference on the dyno between stock tyres and slicks/smooth tyres. Even the same tread tyre will show different HP readings on the dyno. The newer the tyre the less HP. So check what tyres they used to do the dyno, before you decide who makes the most HP.

Remember a dyno shows the amount of power on the roller. The better the transfer of power from the wheel to the roller the more power the dyno shows. The amount of power the motor puts out does not change, only the dyno reading. Smoother, harder tyres will transfer more power to the roller.

The only dyno results one can trust is a dyno mounted directly to the motor. The roller types always have different readings.

I spent a while looking at dyno results and most seem to indicate that a stock raptor puts out about 36 RWHP( rear wheel Horse Power), Yoshimura's raptor results indicate close to 40 RWHP. Then other people say the California raptors put out about 33 RWHP. So pick the one you like, I think your safe with about 36HP.
