banshee problem plz help
#1
My banshee has been actine weird the last couple of rides. it starts up and runs fine for a while, and then when it settles down to an idole if you hit the gas and let off it just dies. i thought maybe it was jetting, or i needed to adjust my air screw, but i'm not sure???? we got back from a ride today and i tried adjusting the idol, but it won't adjust at all, it just wants to die, and now it won't even start, i checked the plugs, and have very little or no spark out of the right plug(checked several new plugs) so i am thinking it may be the coil or the tors system. my question is, could this be the symptoms of a bad coil, and how do i find out for sure weather it is my coil or the tors things??? thx guys

It could be the tors units...thats an easy one to test...just unplug them...
Have you done anything different? old gas...different mix? Dirty filter? Is the gas flow constant? maybe a clogged petcock.
If you have a clymers manual, it list the resistance of the coils in the stator. I had one heck of a time when my stator went bad....took me a while to find it.....got an upgraded unit from ricky stator and troubles went away. (Tors went away about the second ride I owned the machine.)

Unplug the TORS control box on the left side near the front under the gas tank. Don't unplug thje TORS caps as that activates the TORS and it will definately not run.
Change your plugs just to be sure.
Tap on your float bowls to make sure you don't have a stuck float.
Let us know after that. Still, with no spark or little spark I suspect TORS.
