Any Raptor w/ just a pipe will beat even a 440ex. I've raced tons of them. At least two quad lengths.

 

Figured the 400ex SOHC which means Single Over Head Cam to those who dont know. DOHC, Dual Over Head Cams is like the Z400 and the YFZ450. How does the 400ex have more Hp then the Rappy? Just cant see it?

420ex- I dont know where your getting your info, but a stock 400ex only is pushing around 26-28 rwhp while the stock raptor is putting out around 34-36 rwhp. I have a completely stock 03 raptor and have raced and beaten a piped, jetted, and filtered 400ex. The race was not even close, I pulled away from the very beginning and was way ahead by the end, also take into account that I am 6'2" and 220 lbs and the guy on the 400ex was only 5'7" 135lbs......both riders being innermediate level experience.

Uhhhh...no, the 400ex doesn't even come close to having the stock RWH (rear wheel horsepower) of a Rappy (Raptor) the stock 400 has like 27 while the Rappy has almost 35! Also when you pipe/filter/jet it you gain almost 10 HP (horsepower) with the 400 you get like 2-3.

 

All those stock Hp numbers are at the crank not rwl numbers.

 

There is absolutely no way a 400ex will beat a raptor.I'll be at Glamis next weekend if any 400's want a chance to prove me wrong?
