yfz jetting

Default yfz jetting

yeah i just got my sparks pipe jet kit and air filter kit i have it all put on but now i have the jetting to do i think i should run a 175 or thats what i heard i live in michigan and mostly ride during the summer and should i turn out the fuel screw? and what setting do i put the needle at? i have never rejetted a fourstroke carb before so is there anything difficult or things i should look out for when takin it apart thanks for the help.

yeah i just got off the phone with scott from sparks and he said to run a 175 with the needle half way down the setting of the needle and turn the fuel screw halfway out sound good to you guys?

Can somebody help me?I just got my YFZ450 ON mONDAY I have not ridden it yet but I want to get a low end pipe.What is the best pipe for this atv?Also what other quick mods can I do?

The main sounds about right. I just put a pipe and pro-flow K&N on a 450 and used a GYT-R needle on the 4th groove 178 main and a 48 pilot 1.5 turns out on the mix screw. It ran real good even at 3000' maybe a tad rich but it will be riden at Glamis and Dumont so it should be about right. This is with the lid off the air box.

Try a Dial-A-jet. they're probably the best kept secret in the ATV/Motorcycle industry. Talk to Lonn at Thunder Products.com. 320-597-2700.

well i just had my bike checked out from a cert. mech./tech on yamaha bikes and quads been working on them forever and after running some tests and tuning you can see my mods on my SIG i live in bakersfield, california and need to run 190main 45 pilot and gytr needle 6th clip from the bottom and ran perfect...

Go to www.ctracing.com for the low end pipe you are looking for. Quite too.

ight i am selling my kfx really soon cause my dealer is gettin a 05 black/yellow YFZ and my friend used to have one and i loved it!!! so im goin to buy that one haha but i was woundering if the CT pipe would be the best pipe for me because i do alot of drag racing and wana have most low to mid power from a pipe.. is this the better pipe? ight thanks
