the bad part is I work at a car dealership........I have keys to all of the doors.......and the mechanics let me use/give me whatever I need..........LoL

I would just prefer letting someone do it that knows what htey are doing...........I don't trust myself enough...........

I'd also make the numbnut pay for a reputable shop to bore the new sleeve and make sure the piston is properly fitted. The clutch stuff is easy to do yourself and a heckuva lot cheaper too. Up the comp to 12:1+ switch to a hotcams stage 2 with springs and pop a set of FCRs and you'll really have some fun.

I now have a stage 2 cam......but I don't want to run 12:1 cuz I don't wanna run race fuel.......
I am gunna b runnin the 102mm 11:1

I guess I'm gunna take a risk that he did it right.......
when I went to pick it up he showed me the old sleeve and stuck the piston in it.........then put it in the new one.........

I was just suprised that he admitted to it..........

When he supposedly got the bore right did he bore the cylinder too the actual piston? He should have. You would probably be shocked how little your mechanic knows over yourself about maintenance.

My local dealership doesn't employ any mechanics. They have some "parts changers" who will read the manual and swap stuff out, but they don't know why. This pretty much forced me to learn to do my own work. Now it is somethig I enjoy doing. You get a better feeling smoking that @$$ when you know that its all because of you.
