Default Is there any power to be had by boring alone?

I'm getting ready to drop a high compression piston into my Warrior. It has a stock bore piston now and I was wondering if I should just go .020 over or overbore it (say .040 or .060 so I still have another bore left should I need it down the road) for extra power? Is the little extra cc's gained worth overboring?

I beg to differ..............I was at stock bore and I went to 102mm.............and went from stage one cam to stage two
the pistons are the same compression..........

and I can tell a large difference in bottom end gain..........
and the stage 2 cam pulls hard up to the limiter!!!!!

if it doesnt need boring dont do it at all just hone and clearence a bit. that warrior is already gonna run way way to hot with the high comp let alone boring in excess of .060 over now that is just gonna overheat way to easily. if going high compression even 10.75:1 run an octane booster with a lead additive every third tank through and def. look towards investing into an oil cooler kit. these bikes run way stop with more compression so be careful.

Yes, I have an oil cooler on its way. I also have an oil temp gauge I plan to mount on either my bars or plastic so I can keep on eye on my temps. Thanks for the advice guys!
