Which pro flow should I use the K&N filter kit or the foam kit. Some people say that the K&N kit lets dust into the motor. Also I will be running with no air box lid.

Foam for dust, K&N for sand.

For most guys, foam is the way to go. For those sand junkies who need more air than the atmosphere can produce, the K & N works better.

So for trail riding the foam filter woud be better. Hey sixsixt what breather is that K&N for the crankcase. do you run a airbox lid. Is that breather for the hose that hooks to the lid.

I ride alot of desert (dust). Is the K&N prefilter with lid on sufficient or should I be concerned about too much dust finding its way into the intakes?

The one on my photo page is a K&N 62-1100 the same one used with my adapter, it has a mounting stud on it and fits the breather hose perfectly.

If you ride where there is alot of dust I wouldn't run the K&N filter. Next time you ride take your filter off and run your fingers inside your intake tubes,I bet there will be dust on your fingers and thats going into your carbs. Thats a no no. I ran a K&N filter on my warrior and I remember when it was real dusty out there would be dust in my intake tubes. For my raptor I just wanted the most power i could get from a filter. But I dont want to trash a $6800 Raptor neither. For a $50 K&N filter. I have a K&N filter for my raptor Brand new but it will never see my bike. I will go with the foam filter I'll just put big jets in it. That will make her run.
