well...im a sticker guy. i quess it all started with all the stickers they give you when you buy aftermarket products. 1 or 2 here and there turns into 20. you start using them to cover the stress marks that the cheap stock plastics Yamaha uses (blue in particular).
also, alot of people don't like seeing everyone riding the same quad as them so they want to personalize theirs and make it their own. this also could apply to cutting the fenders or buying a graphics kit.
i go back and forth actually and i''ll be removing all my stickers for a cleaner look. i quess adding stickers is the cheapest thing you can do to change the look and personalize your ride.
i think it would be boring if everyone rode around on the same ride...JMO

I'm with the guy who said it's a mod cuz it's not stock.
The stock jet only allows so much fuel flow. If you want more fuel flow for more HP, then you need to modify your carb with a beefier jet.
Some people like stickers. If I had bought my quad new, I wouldn't put any sticker on it, just like I don't put stickers on my hard hat at work, other than the company i work for. It has stickers on it tho, and I don't mind em. I actually attribute the following:
small little stickers = 1.5hp
medium stickers = 4hp
large stickers = 7hp
All totaled with my quad .. I guess there's probably 2 or 3 small stickers, 5 mediums and 2 large stickers.
Stock warrior 18hp
FMF Powercore +2hp
3 smalls +4.5hp
5 med +20hp
2 lrg +14hp
Total modified HP = 58.5hp .. hell I should be able to spank a stock yfz easy!!!! LOL

NLWarrior01, I don't know about you but you just don't put bigger jets to get more power, jets are for tuning. If a stock bike comes from the factory perfectly tuned, you are only going to hurt the performance by putting bigger jets. Actually you will make the most horsepower if you are running slighty lean (smaller jet) at the risk of seizing your engine.
More fuel from a bigger jet doesn't equal more power if you don't have increased O2.

I don't know of anyone who just re-jets because as you said .. unless of course your machine is running too rich or too lean to start with .. you need to keep a blance between your fuel and air mix .. if you change one you have to change the other to keep the machine running a peak performance.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. Still can't beat Stick-On HP tho

i only put stickers on my car when i race and their magnetic backed. if you win some companies give contedjency (crap i don't know how to spell that) prizes for using their product. But you do have to be running their product and not just a sticker. not sure why some bikes and quads have them all over them. maybe thats what is holding them together?

Stickers....it's sorta like concert shirts - been to the show and now I got the shirt - bought an overpriced aftermarket goodie and "got the shirt"...... I prefer the "over the bars club" and "loud pipes save lives" type stickers rather than a skid plate mfg sticker - unless the product works exceptionally well and is a good value - then I help advertise.
I think the intel logo looking "02 Tranny Inside" sticker is especially nice (from raptortranny.com) for the many 2001 raptor owners who have converted.
Also, stickers make good "bandaids" as mentioned above.
