Just wondering........ why do people call jetting a performance mod? Thats almost like calling changing the oil a mod. And why do people cover their rides in stickers?
Guess I got bored today and started pondering stuff. These are the things I couldnt answer though.

Jetting is VERY important if you want to race or just run at your best so therefore Performance mod. Also changes some components of the carb (NEEDLES MAIN JETS PILOT JETS........ ETC ETC.) but it can really add performance 2-3 HP if you have other mods and havnt jetted yet.

Jetting isint an actual mod though. If you had a two stroke youd think of jetting as stopping your engine from melting everytime the temperature changes or you get a new mod. Somehow with 4 strokes though it got classified as a mod.... wierd. Jetting is more like adjusting your chain or something.

Just a cleaver way for the aftermarket companies to hype something up. As far as the stickers......I don't put any advertisement on my rides unless they did something for ME I'm not giving them free advertisement.

Kinda like air pressure in your car tires either you're spot on or your off just a bit (like most cars) I wouldn't list proper air pressure in my tires as a mod. I'd simply know that it's done right.

And why do people cover their rides in stickers?
Who knows??? I have no stickers on any of my rides/cars/etc. Instead of buying all those stickers, why not purchase a new jet kit?

I use to have a few stickers on my bike but took them off because I think it looks cleaner. Just IMO.
