what cars have you smoked with your quad?

Actually I have raced one car. it was a iroc camero that I smoked off the line and for the first 5 gears I kept him at bay. anything longer than a 300ft race I would have gotten beaten badly. Right around when I hit top speed he blew by me.

My Banshee with a 16 front sprocket did 89mph in 1000ft. That's the same mph my wife's 93 mustang does (it is stock). Now it still done a 8.0 1/8th mile at over 81mph. The acceleration is the key. There are 12 sec 1/4 mile cars that dont go 8.0's in the 1/8th, but they are building speed fast and make the difference up in the last half of the track.

The pro circuit is running 5.8 in the 1/8 mile (660ft) and i know you don't have a $20K Shee so i am calling BS on ya. Got any slips with info to prove me wrong??? I'll race you with my GSX1300R and some cars whip my ***.....

I can believe it in a 300ft race or maybe 400 but not in the full 1/8.... 8.01 in a Stang is respectable.... And a quad might run 89mph in 1000ft or 1/4 but in an 1/8.......Nah....

I'm afraid that I'm going to have to agree with gnd, there is no way that a banshee will do 83 mph in the 1/8th mile. If you have the slips, I would definately like to see them and then I will admit that I was wrong, but, as of now, I am agreeing with gnd that your banshee will not go 83 mph in the 1/8th mile.

You guys dont read close enough, although I did say me Banshee ran a little over 81mph in the 1/8th mile. It DID NOT run 82mph. And the time on it was a 8.05 in the 1/8th mile. It had a 1.66 60ft time and a 5.05 330ft time. My Banshee is not super fast by no means. You guys that claim they dont go this fast obviously havent seen many run. I have a buddy that is not much more modded than mine on alky. He has run a 7.12 at 89 mph in the 1/8th. That is as far as he can run. His tranny is overridden 1-5 gears and he runs a 17-40 gear ratio. You wont take a stock geared bike and run those numbers, but the bikes have enough motor and are capable of running those times.Bubba

I just got to talking to my neighbor's son-in-law (which has a modified banshee) and he has finally made me believe that you are telling the truth about your times if that really is your four wheeler. Although, he said that there is no way that a stock banshee would run anywhere near that and that you would have to change more than just your gearing. Sorry bubba, as I said, I now admit that I was wrong. thanks, Skyler.

I smoked a Kentucky State Trooper cruiser on my Wolvy. I just stayed in the middle of the road till I got to the trail. Just kidding I really didn't do that.

I don't doubt the times on the banshee. It's all about power to weight ratio and traction.
My 99 Cobra ran 4.80-4.90's in 330', 7.60's in the 1/8th and high 11's in the 1/4 on drag radials. Not many quads run in the 4's in a 300' drag.
