Yet more problems with my blaster!
#1
Now the problem is, when i hit full throttle and get going full speed for the gear it starts cutting out and wanting to stall.
it never did this before until it got into the 80 Plus temp range. I'm thinking it's jetting problems.
It has everything stock with a 230 main(i think that is stock because it can have a 220 or 230)
Need clip is in the 2nd position from top.

Mine has the same problem, when i get going right around full throttle, it starts spuddering and sometimes it fouls a plug. In the lowend the acceleration is kinda slow, but other than that it runs ok. I just got my jet kit today, and im gonna try it tomorrow, ill let ya know how it does.

250xrider, please let me know what type of jet kit you got and how it is running. You can e-mail me at aaron@1st.net or post here. Thanks!
stevie, I love the blaster, but i am kind of big for it 6' and 190 pounds. I don't feel cramped or anything on it nor does it feel underpowered.
But i'm really looking for a warrior or 300EX. One thing i do know is a need reverse.
4,800 to 5,000 i'm not totally sure. I don't really like honda. But, the 300EX is a good quad and it's more than proven, i don't think it's 4-wheeler to end all as most do.
I did the little payment thing and it said:
Motorcycle: Sportrax 300EX
Color: Red
Estimated Selling Price: $5,000
Length of Term: 24 Months
APR: 13%
Net Trade-in: $0
Down Payment: $2,500
Estimated Payment: $118.85 / month
That's not too bad! even at 13% APR(it was 12.5 last ad i seen) and only 24 months.
I refuse to by used again. Never!
Maybe a polaris 500. I could make the guy i bought it off of feel guilty(he's a great guy, i told him it blew up and he was like, you should of came to me right away. I talked to one of his salesmen and he said the guy never told him.

Ok, check your jetting, sounds a bit rich, maybe moce down one size, see if that worx. If you do get a new quad....get a Warrior. I had a 95 Blaster and got tired of rebuilding it and wanted some more top end, reverse, and electric start. I got a 96 Warrior and love it, havent had one problem with it yet, and its faster than the 300EX's. So if you dont think your Blaster's fast, do NOT get a 300EX, get a Warrior. Hope this helps.....

Will the warrior wheele really good? Lots of low end?
Does it respond well to mods?
Ok...Now my problem is how much do i take my main up? it's a 230 now. Should i just buy every jet from a 240 to a 290? I just have no idea about this. I've been reading a lot about jetting. The bombardier site was very helpful.
Now, i know it has to be the main jet since that controls your full throttle power.
My friend told me to go up one size. 240, but i was thinking maybe bigger?
I need help! Stupid jetting, but at least i'm learning!

Hey, i got my jet kit in and I totally love it. It stopped fouling plugs, and runs great. It really helps acceleration. I am running a 300 main w/o the airbox lid. i ordered it from LRD. I forgot their number, but it is at blaster central.
