banshee in the woods
#11
I would say get the banshee with the unlimited amount of parts outh there you can make it do pretty much whatever you want it to do. My banshee was very unstable in corners so I bought the +2+1 Arms and now it fine in the corners. Probably better if I extend the back a little. But if you need more low end you just need to find the parts to do it. There out ther trust me.

If I got a banshee I would have no money for any parts, all I want to know about is the power band, and how the engine will handle in the woods. But I appreciate all the answers guys.

One of the guys I ride with loves his Banshee. All we ever ride is the woods in PA. They are about as thick as it gets and he would not ride anyhting else. His 1st one was stolen, I tried to talk him into a 4-stroke with reverse, he went and bought an even faster Banshee. If you want one, get one. It is that simple. You will get used to riding it in the woods and will learn how to keep it from loading up.

the only people that complain about riding two strokes in the woods are the people that own four strokes or people that don't know how to drive a two stroke. you can go slow in the woods as long as you are in first gear with the revs up. you can lag them in second gear around the trails but the power will be minimal and throttle response will be down. If you like low rpm putting a four stroke would be better. if you are an agressive rider go for the shee.

I would have wound up in first/second on my banshee in a harescramble race against 300exs, 400exs, kfx400s, z400s raptors, blasters, etc if the rubber mount on it didnt break after hitting a table top, these trails i raced on were TIGHT and my banshee did great on them, although the blaster snuck away a just a little in the trails i was on his azz and passing him in the mx track and field course. in a nutshell, banshees are great on just about any terrain you get them on if you know how to drive it well given time.

That’s very good news, and yeah, roosthrower, that whole idea about going in first, I was thinking that’s what ii would do to get used to it and then when I get familiar with it I can start riding more in second. Although im not sure what the speeds for each of the gears looks like but I think at some point or another I would be able to handle it. Thanks for all those posts guys. Keep them up

2 strokes and forests dont work, u cant just open up a banshee going through a trail its just not gonna happen, my raptor is insanely great in trails, what im saying is you cant just go in a trail and go 1st gear 2nd 3rd u gotta stay in one gear which is hard for a 2 stroke to do
