I don't know what Yamaha was thinking when they made a ATV with all that power and such skinny A-arm width. That has got to be the scariest ride on earth. They better do something about that. Otherwise you will have to buy after market stuff to widen it a few inches.

Aftermarket Is Better. besides does everyone want a plain stock quad, this is a "R" Race quad. Go aftermarket.

Andrew,
No matter what quad you ever buy from a factor it's going to need this or that improvement.

I have backed out of my raptor order, after my intial "I got to have that" phase, I started to think maybe I should wait and see how this quad really works.

But I would say it's stance is going to need a little widening, and I'm sure an after market pipe is in order.

It's new, unproven, and just might be the badess thing to ever atv across the woods, but I'll keep my proven banshee, add some more toys to it, and still smoke any raptor I can find..

(New toys: 420 big bore kit, port and polish, and new carb setup)

Brad,
You see my point though right. The Yamaha website says it's gonna eat this & that etc. Now after you spend $6,500, go ahead & spend some more! It would a little easier to accept if the Raptor only cost like $4500.
I do agree with you about the Banshee thing though. A Banshee with mods is a tough cookie. My Scrambler is heavy, but the 400L is a powerful motor with a ton of HP potential. There is nothing that hauls like a hopped up 2 stroke. At least for now anyway.
