I am working on my list to give to Santa Claus (aka my wife)and I need some comparisons of front and rear shocks for my Raptor. Who thinks they got the best and why? I have been loooking at Olin and Works so far. Any help?

I've got the 19" Elka Elites, quad rate SSD with piggyback res on the front. They are awesome. I had the stock rear rebuilt with Elka SSD components and wasn't really thrilled with the handling until I put on a +2 swingarm, now it's as good as the front.

 

i think works pro series shocks r the best for me u can launch off a good jump and land sweet!!!!

I disagree...My buddy has ohlins, I have works tripples.... I can't tell the difference. Been jumpin for years.

Everyone always knocks the works shocks....can anyone give me some hard facts on why they are so bad? is it the pistons? valving? material? I really need to know....cause mine work fine.

 

i got new works shocks for my warrior and the fit and finish just isn't as nice as a higher end shock and one of them blew out not long after i got them

they did fix them for free though. i have a raptor now and i'm going to get elka's... i think

 

are the only good shocks that come stock on other bikes that fit teh raptor the yfz ones or do like the trx or prediturd ones fit the raptor?
