Dual K&N on Banshee
#1
I Bought the bike with a single Uni filter on it with no airbox so I ripped that off right down to the carbs and put dual k&n filters on. Is it alright to mount them to the carbs or should I get that plate that sets them back a little more

You can gain more horsepower if you stay with the stock air box and the lid off.
I set up Banshee's with 300 main jet, 30 pilots, and Vito's needle at the third clip. With T-5's, shaved head, 4 degree advance key. At sea level!!!!

my machine was faster up the hills with the pod filters, I tried it both ways. I was going to try the toomey setup, but have been very happy with these filters.
It also makes it much easier to jet and really cleans up the area.
Thats my 2 cents

My son's Banshee has inframe CPI's, carb mounted K&N's, 300main (50° 700asl), ProWedgeII's and it will hang with my StageII DS. He was running 290's and power was down considerably. Before you install the airfilters cut off the 2 airbox stop studs off the frame for they will damage your filters. I'm sitting here looking at a new set of K&N's because he didn't cut the studs off.
