Bad350- If you think you could feed your motor more carb than you have now, go for it. I would not have thought they would have worked. Ernie660 put them on for a different reason. He was planning on turning his 686 into a 730 this winter and just wanted to do some R&D for Craycraft since he was down here for the weekend. He jetted them like he planned to run them in a 730 (160 mains) and his 686 loved them. HE HAS FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE 730 AND WEB 685 CAM FOR NOW. He is going to run this set-up for a while. It is sweet. I do not want to line up beside him anymore.

Sand rappy- Give Bob a call, i am sure he will hook you up. The intake set-up like ernie's is around 225 dollars. I know it is a little pricey but it works. Bob spent weeks working on it and the suppliers are greedy. Bob is also working on a few other intake options that are going in the "testing" phase in the next couple of weeks. Going fast cost money. There are 2 craycraft project bikes in construction know that are larger that a 727. This is a big step foreward to making big power.

I just got home after a long six hour drive from Bob Craycraft house and I had to ride the rappy around the neighborhood. I am still in shock of how fast that 686 is.
I have never ridden a 730 as of yet, but if its faster than what it is know WOW! I am sure there are plenty of faster quads out there, not bashing anyone!
The reason I went with the 39mm fcr's is because of the fact that in the future a 730 is in the works. I had no idea how my 686 was going to respond to the 39's but I had to try in the name of research and development. Its a winning combination if you ask me, the signature series Craycraft 686, stage two Hot Cams, 39mm FCR's, 12.1 piston, is a choice that everyone can live with and most important leave you grinning from ear to ear for a long time. I,m still grinning!!!
