300ft drag... Raptor vs YFZ?

I know every rider and track condition is different... but I think alot of the YFZ vs. Raptor races that
people report are in sand or up hills. My Raptor is just Piped and Jetted with a K&N proflow, and a
little wider and lower.
Over the course of the most recent dragging season on 300ft dirt tracks, and a couple 250ft tracks....my
Raptor only lost to a YFZ450 one time all year, from a missed shift. The 450's that show up to race every week are
piped , jetted, open air box, and cam modded, and at least 2 have porting done.... so its not just one racer I
beat. The races are always very close, but I still always win by a length or so.
I do have to say that launch technique is critical. 2nd gear pinned, and clutch popped. Mine is a 2001. If you
dont go ballz to the wallz on it, you will wheelie and lose. You must get used to the launch and practice it, and blow
them tires LOOOSE, it only spins for a second and rips your arms off after. Again, I use Razors on dirt. 2nd gear launch,
2001 machine, piped and jetted . So "no way" does a stock YFZ win against a Piped and correctly jetted Raptor on "Dirt"
drags - because even the good wakeup mods for the YFZ dont pull it past me in a race.
Im sure results vary, but the purely bold statement that YFZ's are better 300ft draggers is not correct in my eyes.
Got plenty of video if y'all would like to witness . Just have to cut up smaller clips. However, in the "sand", dont ask me,
I have no idea... cause I live in PA , and we aint got no dunes.

me and my friend both went to the yamaha shop together looking 4 a new ride, he got a 04 raptor and i got a 04 yfz, we have a local 400ft drag strip, so we took our ATVs there to see which one was faster (stock) ,when we took off i would leave him, half way down the track and i would be about 3 quad links in front of him, and at the end i would just get wide open and look back and he would be about 2 quads links back, we both weigh around 140lbs and we both have the same amount of expericnce
now i have alot of mods to my YFZ including a +2 front sprocket and -2 rear sprocket, it will run 90 easy on a 400ft drag with the parts i got listed, aint nothin beat it since i got the parts, ive wopped $15,000 raptors when i only got $9000 in my yfz
well neway, i know a YFZ will beat a raptor in a 300ft drag by atleast 2 or 3 quad links

I highly doubt he beat a 15,000$ raptor, unless he spent his money on a lead frame/lead swing arm/lead suspension, then gold plated them, while he was at it, opened up the engine, made the crank/flywheel/piston/magneto/the case, everything out of lead so he wieghed about 1000 pounds and couldnt move. The craycraft 727 costs much much less then 15,000$ and would own on any YFZ. It either wasn't a 15,000$ modded rappy, or it was tuned bad.
