does the stock rear shock have rebound and compression adjustments or is it only preload adjustable?

 

Fully adjustable. You have your preload and then there is the dial on the left side (when sitting on the bike) towards the top of the shock that changes rebound. At the bottom of the shock there is another dial for the compression damping. The owners manual says what each adjustment does and how to adjust it.
