Its time to put new tires on my 01 Wolverine. I have a few questions. First, which is better between the Carlisle AT489's and the Titan 489's? Also, will it really cut down on the low end pulling power if I increased from the 23's to 24's. I also will be pushing snow with this machine. One more thing, is there any other brand of tire I should be looking at that comes in the sizes I need? Thank you!

 

Best bet would be the ( Titan) 489Xt's, they are 6 ply for better flat resistance, and have a much more aggressive tread than the regular 489's

Going to 24 's should be no problem.

 

If you have any power adders then you can run 25's with little losses, I think. I have the 25" 489XT's on mine and love em.

 

My pal runs 23" 489s on his Wolvy and has had good service out of them. Where did you find the 24x10x12 & 24x8x12s. He was measuring my tires tonite... He doesn't want to go all the way to a 25".
My Maxxis all tracs measure just a fuzz over 24" even though they say 25" on the sidewall... I run them with no problem... You shouldn't lose much with the 24"s

 

I have 24-8-12 and 24-11-12 489XT's, can make someone a great deal on them, 90+% tread.
