Default How do YOU pay the bills?

A proud Union Laborer in building construction, and on gas pipeline work.

Make good money, keeps me happy. $30,000+ a year. Not too bad for 20 years old.

I am 21 years old, a college senior about to start working on my masters in psych or school administration. Right now I am a Classified advertising director for a small weekly published newspaper. I also write, cover sports some, take pics, proofread ads and do pasteup and layout. Neat job, one of those with lots of experience and connections, but little pay.

Default How do YOU pay the bills?

I have done a number of things. for 17 years, I was an A&P mechanic. IN 2000, I started and in june recieved my Bachellors degree in computer information systems. The day before graduation, I was layed off my job at a web hosting company. For 4 months I looked for a IT job. Well now I am 47,000 dollars (actually 65K if you want to count working on my masters)in debt (DeVry is expensive), and back in my old job fixing airplanes. However, I am a year and a half away from my MBA, with graduate certificate in project management. Before airplanes, I drove truck , and before that I roughnecked in the south texas oilfields for 6 years. Bad part is, I now work 4 days a week and get 3 off. However, my days at work are sat and sun 6 am to 6 pm, and mon and tues 4 pm to 1 am. That kind of screws everything up. Cant ride with my friends, and cant seem a find a woman with the same days off as me. O well, at least I can make the house payment, and of course the Raptor payment.

Anyone need an almost MBA with a CIS degree with IT, Aviation, Transportation, and oilfield experience? O yeah, it needs to pay well too. Sheeit, this is depressing, I need another beer.

Later,
Ron

Anyway, structural engineer here. I design the targets that the aerospace guys design a means to destroy. Hey, they keep us in business...LOL.

The real $$$ comes from the wife though....go figure. She works for the Auto Club as an insurance agent / sales team manager. Man I'm proud of her.

So there is where those tire came from, I thought they were good tires until the side walls starting blowing out. They dealer wouldn't even replace them and they only had about 5 to 10 thousand when they blew.
