Just an updated of my latest mods that yielded me an addition 4MPH on my Banshee which puts me running at 89.6 MPH and lowered my powerband by around 1500 RPM now making it alot easier to ride with the CPI's.
Cut 1" off the back of the air lid, $0.00
15t front sprocket, $15.00
Adjustable timing plate set at +4 degrees, $50.00
What a huge difference those mods made. The bike is now pulling this higher gearing way better than it was the stock 14t and the power band is insane and comes on alot lower and comes in alot sooner man I'm almost ready to try a 16t the way it's pulling, and this puts me faster than my 686 Raptor ever did, Iam loving life big time now that I own a Banshee!

That thing runs hard Hiram, there is no way I am even going to try and compete with that anymore. 87 mph is enough for me.
I still can't get over those guys that where racing for $500, that's nuts.
I'm a little beat up from yesterday, my R threw me 3 times.

i'm in the same situation with my r, only I went to a 14 on the
front instead of a stock 13 and went from 22" junk tires on the back to 18"
tires on the back. my bike is almost stock(k&n air filter, slip on pos silencer cheap and that 14 tooth sprocket), I can pull about 75mph top end,
but with those setups, thr powerband is pretty much continous from 1st
to your top gears and its hella quick with such a setup. glad to hear about
people with this setup...

Thanks Rob for compliments and for giving my the thumbs up on my new mods after your test ride yesterday. I'm alittle beat up myself and stayed home from work to recuperate some. We were getting some serious air yesterday at that jump. Oh and about the races man those big money boys are just insane with all the betting and racing, did you see how they hooked up the jockey that drove that one race with that crispy $100 bill.

No way, they paid for someone to race it for them?!? I did notice the winner was very young and light about 120 lbs. Did they gps their top speeds? It would be interesting to know how fast they were going.
Pimp250R, you should try going to a 15, with 18 tires and the mods you have you sould be able to pull it. I normally run a 15 and a 36 on 18"s.

It would of been great to see GPS reading but the way they where all into the races like removing headlights and stuff on the spot just to reduce drag, I though they were going to make the jockey strip and race in his underwears, anyways they would of said the GPS added 3 ounces of weight

I went from a 15 to a 17. But I also switched from 22 inch 2 plys to 20 inch 6 plys. So I only gained about 7 mph in the deal, but it pulls much more consistant than just a blip of power. Id say go for a 17, its cheap speed.
