Thanx Rackman. Is the LE Grizzly just a special color or does it have other changes?

Anyone I've known with any type of belt drive quad has gotten the belt wet and been stranded at some point in time.

My best advise for these machines is to be careful in extremely deep water (same for any machine really, you can still hydroloc the motor if the water is too deep), be very careful splashing into deep water. The later is probably the most common cause of wet belts, alot of water being driven into the belt case breather by entering deep water much too fast.

If this is your riding style, I'd reccommend a snorkle for your engine intake, belt case breather and the rest of your vent lines.

The griz is probably one of the best water bikes out there. Steam can be an issue but it's the same on all bikes most predominant in the very hot weather. As for water on belt in the griz, I watched a bud drown his 04 griz, & the belt stayed dry until he got in over the engine air intake which is up around the top of the fuel tank !!!! Hondas don't even sit high enough to get their air intake up to the bottom of the grizzs seat & all the blow hards usually drive around the bad stuff from my observation !!!

I bought a new 04 Grizzly yesterday. I also had some reservations about the machine. We rode about 35 miles today. I rode in creek bottoms with water 2 ft to 3 ft deep, also in mud bogs up to my rear fenders. This machine LOVED IT!!!!!!! Got stuck once in a huge mud bog (so did every other machine there-honda, polaris, yamaha etc.) Rides perfect, loads of power, climbs hills great. You will be happy, I am.
