Default Trailers...

I just got a new 24' enclosed trailer and i dont want to shred the floor during the winter ice race season. Does anyone know of a place where I might be able to get large pieces of rubber to lay down in the floor, or maybe a custom made/manufactured piece from some dealer?

I'd also appreciate any other ideas anyone may have had on protecting the trailer floors. Thanks.

I would go to a local rock or asphalt plant and try to buy some old conveyor belt. This would work well and they might even give it to ya. I do Inspections at these places all the time and those belts do wear fairly quick.

ya, saw it once befor on TV, but I've never seen it in the stores, not sure of the cost though.
but I guess if you can afford a 24' enclosed trailer this wont be that much.

lanolium (sp?) maybe? like on kitchen floors, how strong of stuff do you need? Thats what my dad put down on the floor of his shed, works great. Wish he would have thought of it b4 I went through the hassle of sealing and painting the floor of mine!

Try a farm supply store and get rubber mats for horse trailers.. They don't cost a ton but should offer the protection from studs.. They are anti-fatigue mats for horses..

Maddog,

On my snowmobile trailer that tilts, I grabbed three used snowmobile tracks and screwed them down. Works perfect. Free too.....

I used old conveyer belt on mine from a factory that shut down but old snowmobile tracks do work great. Also my buddy got some rubber matting from tractor supply and that worked great also.

Thanks for all of your help guys. We used old snomobile treads with the metal braces removed for liners in our horses' stalls, worked pretty well. Keep em coming and I'll go through them all, i appreciate it. I dont want to trash the floor of my pretty new trailer!
