Banshee 370 Best Pipes
#2
I have CT MX pipes on mine, it is a 370 LR as well w/17cc domes..... It seems pretty descent across the board with nice bottom end and not signing off early.... FMF Fattys' are supposed to be good as well.........

CPI's are great. As bad as FMF fatties suck for stock engines, they are claimed to be good for built engines although I don't see how. Pro-circuits are killer low and mid with non-ported setups, but I have yet to run my built engine with them.

I really like the FMF Fatty's. I used to run them on a stock motor, then a ported motor. I now run CPI inframes.
The FMF Fatty's are, in my opinion, one of the best all around pipes available.
My son now runs them on his Banshee. Ran them when the motor was stock, and now it's ported. Still with the FMF pipes. They work well with stock and with ported motors.
The FMF pipes come on lower in the rpm range than do the CPI's.
If you want more low/mid, try the FMF Gnarly's. They have a different lenght head pipe than the Fatty's and make more bottom/mid than do the Fatty's with a bit less top.
I've rode one Banshee with them. They are good pipes.

I also have a 370 with tons of mods for MX and SX, both of which I race. Anyway, I have FMF Fatties w/P-Core 2s and they work awesome with the other mods. So many Banshee pipes are for top end. I haven't ridden a Banshee with FMF Gnarleys, but I would rather have the Fattys with the 370 because they give you decent bottom (in conjunction with the Big Bore) and hard hitting mid range without cutting out any of the top end. I think the Gnarleys rob some top end power. I'm not sure how the DynaPort 2 into 1 pipe would work with the 370, but on fairly stock 350s they make the best bottom end and mid range I have ever seen out of a Banshee. I wanted to keep twin pipes though- looks better.

thanks for all the input. I have a buddy with a 370 and he says the paul turners are the best. He had CPI's and traded them back to the PT's. The fatty's seem to be the most popular from the forum. Anyone tried the sst's? I heard that the FMF's were not so good, but that was on a stock banshee.

for high rev bikes the cpi is the best on the market HANDS DOWN! now for low and mid range i couldnt tell ya but in my experience the pro circuit was a pretty good pipe on my semi stock banshee before i went crazy with it and had to get cpi's!
