Yeah, I think I've seen Standing Stone - never seen anyone going up it though, but I've heard stories. Looks rough.

Have you ever been to or heard of Fettie Cave? That place rocks!

BTW: I think it is hard to compare the Rappy and YFZ - one is a great trail machine, one is a great race machine. 2 different worlds and both excel in their own.

Yeah I been to the cave.

People party there a lot in the summer. LOL

I bet you had a blast down there. The trail getting to it is getting rough from the rain, but it's a great place to go kick back on a long ride. Definetly a awesome place to hang out.

sounds like you have a VERY well tuned raptor.......cause when mine was piped there is no way in hell that it would touch my buddies yfz with the baffle pulled and the lid removed......of course he has it jetted perfectly....and I'm sure mine wasn't...

Maybe you should get a real pipe. Like a Alba. LOL

That was my first ever race(s) against a YFZ and I was close. Damn was it close. I would have almost traded my mud machines to anyone for a set of light 20' tires. Not saying I would have won, but I would have been closer then 1 bike lenght behind.

MY buddy SEVEN....

You obviously haven't ridden a YFZ yourself....or you would know that they are very fast. I have a 400EX and a YFZ, and the EX isn't a match in any type of riding...PERIOD!! The race you witnessed was no doubt all rider and not bike. Rider ability is always a big factor in any race, regardless of the bikes. Don't get me wrong, I love my EX and still ride it. It is a great bike and very fun to ride, but it just doesn't compare to my YFZ.

Late.....

I would say no wonder you lost. That is just about the same as stock. I'm sure your rappy was louder with your pipe like that, but adding a full system with the K&N(pro design) gives you a ton of torque and power. It's almost like riding a completely differnt bike.

As for my jetting, I got it dialed in really good. It's running really good right now. A lot better then anytime before.

But I need just alittle bit more to beat a piped YFZ.

It wouldn't be unfair to change my piston and cam now would it....considering my rappy is so far detuned compared to a YFZ.

LOL

I can't wait to race again.

I know, that's why I was complaining about having them on there. If I would have had a set of lighter 20' tires it would have been a really close race. I think after the little bit of work I'm going to do to mine over the winter I will probaly take him. But hopefully I can get smaller tires and race him again before the work I'm going to do.
