#1
Had a crash yesterday, nothing major...just flipped the Wolvy over on its top. When it started over I bailed off...didn't want the thing to land on me. I landed on my shoulder and left arm...not overly hard. The Wolvy landed on its front rack...not very hard...I was almost stopped when it happened. Wasn't very sore this morning but the later it gets the sorer I get. A few years back that wouldn't have bothered me at all,but now I'm sore, hurting and crying to you guys about it. You young guys ENJOY...one of these days you'll be an old fu@#$r like me!

You are not the only one. Age is doing a number on me too. I can still keep up with the younger guys but when I go down I stay down alot longer than they do. Getting older sucks!!!!! I am 36 and it is just getting worse. Whah Whah. Oh well I am just going to keep going until I can't it is just too much fun.

Aw, you kids! Just wait.
Before too long, your age is a badge of honor. Meet up riding with some guys, outjump 'em, then take your helmet off and they go "Whoa dude!" when they realize you were riding when they were just a twinkle in their dad's eye.
(then go back to the camper and take some Ibuprofin)

I think it be required for everyone to have an outhouse and at least 100 feet away forn the back door
This time of year you must run out and back in pretty fast so this keeps the blood flowing and therefore young.

Riding this monster knocked 20 years off my life. I wreck sometimes but it doesn't seem to take that much longer to heal, only 5 weeks in a cast for a broken 4th metacarpal in my hand this summer. When I was a kid, I never had a cast less than 5 weeks. If I ride hard/race on Sunday, I'm pretty close to 100% again by Wednesday. The 2nd day is always the worst and then the soreness just goes away. Not sure I would still enjoy it if I was sore all week. My wife gets 800mg Motrin from the base clinic, they knock the edge right off the soreness. I like my age, more money and drive than the younger guys but my body hasn't worn out yet. My only real complaint is that I can't eat like I did when I was 18, it's way to easy to put on weight when you are behind a desk all day.

I know I'm not a spring chicken...but I'm not a senior citizen either...I was in an accident at work last year that has caused me to not be tough and strong as I used to be. I got mashed up pretty bad and really don't have the full use of my right leg and hip. I really can't ride as hard as I used to and haven't been able to ride the Harley at all. I can ride the Wolvy alright because I don't have to hold it up with my bad leg. But I'm not dead yet and I'll keep riding till I am Thanks for the replies guys and Chet, your always good for a good laugh
