My Raptor is completely Stock. I was wondering what mods will beat a Stock Banshee in Top speed for cheap money. I tried buying a 14 Tooth front sprocket but it just made my top speed even slower. My Raptor is running proper or something. any ideas whats going on. I want it to go faster. so please help me out thanks people

Pipe, filter, jet kit...... Actually: Yoshimura pipe, pro flow system with Uni or K&N filter, and GYTR jet kit....

You really need to uncork that bad boy before you do anything else. Pipe, jetting, filter. As for cheap it just depends on what you consider cheap. You can do it for somewhere around $500.00 to $600.00. That's pretty cheap for the power gain you'll get in my opinion.

Any pipe will do the job, but what I suggested is what I'm gonna do to Raptor... When I get it, lol.

Stock for stock you should be pretty close to the banshee already. The 14t sprocket should have made an improvment to your top speed, since the raptor in stock form would normally have plenty of power to pull that gearing easily. I suspect that you might have a problem there somewhere.

Me and my buddy did a buddy pack and he got the banshee and i got the raptor. We can just stay neck and neck and then he just pulls away like nothing. Both quads are completely stock. My quad isnt running right or something. it wants to dye down alot. even riding it in 5th for a long time and it just wants to dye. I'm running 94 octane in it to make it run better but it isnt at all. It was doing 75 77 with 13 40 gearing now its only doing like 72 with 14 40. Piece of $hit or something. any ideas what i could do to make it run good or what

Check your jetting to make sure it's right.(look at the plug) another thing is run regular unleaded gas, yes 87 octane. This is something a lot of the Bomb guys do because stock Raptor and DS650's don't need premium gas (91-94 octane) because the compression of these motors is not high enough stock to actually require it. Thus, you will actually have more power running the lower octane fuel with a stock, low compression motor of a Raptor. With lower octane fuel, it will burn faster and create more power. The key to this is run the lowest octane fuel possible WITHOUT detonating and you'll have more power.

Again check your jetting and run stock gearing.

You should be neck and, neck if not out topend the Banshee. Is there a big weight difference? Hope you have clean filters and, all the routine things checked because something is wrong.
